STEM PROGRAM MANAGER

At The Shooting Stars Foundation (SSF) our mission is to help break the cycle of generational poverty through STEM education.
The Project Manager will join The SSF team to manage corporate sponsorship programs and all partnership programs including:
- Manage and support projects to ensure that milestone and deliverable targets are met;
- Create and deliver regular project status reports;
- Assist in the development corporately sponsored programs and partner programs; and (4) work as a team member to drive project goals.

Responsibilities
- Supports the vision and goals of SSF
- Establishes working relationships with current and potential corporates as well as partnership organizations
- Executes STEM Programs successfully
- Launches, executes, and successfully completes project tasks related to the above programs on time, within budget, and at an expected level of quality
- Implements and manages work plans, establishing timelines for activities and tracking actual progress
- Maintains and regularly updates internal and partnership documents (i.e., approved documents, contact lists, etc.)
- Communicates effectively and courteously with all contacts — internal and external; works well with a diverse team of people
- Tracks changes in and the status of project deliverables and indicators relevant to the goals of the project plan to assess impact of all programs
- Collaborates with the Executive Director and Program Managers to develop and disseminate program evaluation reports
- Creates Playbooks for all programs and trains junior staff and volunteers for future execution of such programs
- Other duties as assigned
Educational & Experiential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum two (2) years of program/project management experience with progressively increasing responsibility in education or non-profit administration
- Connections with minority partner organizations strongly desired
- Experience with corporate sponsored programs desired
- Experience in K-12 schools, higher education and/or educational or youth-based programs or networks desired
Financial Analyst with QuickBooks Experience
Part Time – About 3-5 hours per week

The Analyst will help SSF keep detailed records of financials, as well as help with monthly / quarterly yearly reporting and financial analysis
Responsibilities
- Monthly reconciliation and categories of bank and credit card entries
- Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly Financial Reporting
- Segregation and maintenance of different kinds of revenue / income at a detail level
- Work on Donation / Corporate Matching and Volunteer Hour Grants detailed reporting
- Financial Analysis Reports – such as budget / forecast / trends / business plan projections etc
- Analyze Financial reports and point anomalies
- Set up all of reporting and analysis in Quickbooks
- Other duties as assigned
Educational & Experiential Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in similar NGO with similar operational goals
- Or 10+ years in Tech or other fields with excellent project management experience – and now willing to switch to NGO
- Passion for community service, especially in the field of education
- Degree holder – Engineering / Social Work / MBA
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent English language skills – both written and spoken – proficient in other languages in India is an advantage
- Good communication skills to maintain relationships with members of the organization and respond to their requests regularly.
- Working knowledge of Google Drive / Excel / Word / Email etc
- Own a laptop or system at home with internet connection – Online work / Telephone work etc
- Home based is ok – if above qualifications are met
- At least 4 hours a week to interact with USA counterparts – Timings to match (evening or morning hours)

Shooting Stars Foundation is a NGO focuses on education with the belief that we can break the cycle of poverty through education. We have powerful stories where the volunteers and community members work together to create opportunities and improve the quality of life of deserving students. We focus on giving leadership skills and training to youth volunteers who design fundraising programs, raise funds, and create opportunities to educate under privileged college students around the world.
Currently we educate about 500 scholars in India and Africa in the fields of STEM / Engineering / Medicine / Finance. We have a distinctive confidence building / mentorship program that focuses on a holistic approach for the betterment of a student’s life rather than just helping financially.

Director of Operations - India

The Analyst will help SSF keep detailed records of financials, as well as help with monthly / quarterly yearly reporting and financial analysis
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and manage program initiatives such as scholar process end to end. Scholar Process consists of
- Identifying relevant scholars in India as well as other countries (if needed)
- Manage the entire approval process including doc verification/ interviews / reference checks / homevisits
- Manage payments to all scholars on a yearly basis
- Manage periodic touch points with scholars
- Training / Internship / Mentoring / Placement Programs for scholars
- Periodic reporting to donors and management
- Donor Management and Dashboards
- Manage Alumni relations and process
- Innovate and optimize resource mobilization and process /systems (Salesforce)
- Any and all related activities surrounding the NGO presence in India
- Connections and relationships with India CSRs a plus
- Inspire a team of employees and volunteers to deliver the above tasks
